El Carmelo Elementary

SPEC collaborated with the dedicated staff at El Carmelo Elementary in Palo Alto to create a Pre-K & Kinder playground space from Burke designed for all abilities and all-inclusive play.

This vibrant space features engaging interactive play panels, outdoor musical instruments, a calming serenity spot, and sensory-rich visual and tactile experiences. Kids of every ability can explore the 360° loop slide-transfer-climber combo, encouraging independence and movement in new ways. A trike track with peripheral play panels adds even more opportunities for imagination, movement, and discovery, creating a playground where every child can play, connect and thrive.
