Harborview Terrace

Working alongside Grain Collective, SPEC supplied the Berliner playground equipment at Harbor View Terrace Houses in Hell's Kitchen in New York City. In typical Grain Collective fashion, the goal was something fun, bright, and energic - just like the city itself. The end result was a bold, vibrant, highly functional, and budget conscious project that brought great height and immense play value to the existing neighborhood.
The Berliner design focuses on the Jupiter XXL which stands 25' tall and 45' wide and includes a hammock, multiple access nets, a fast lane slide, and a little ben spinner. The exciting color palette uses blue, orange, and hints of green throughout, fitting for the recent historic moment for NYC in sports (Go Knicks!). With spinning, climbing, sliding, and swaying, this modern and inclusive playground provides something for every ability level.
