Hunters View - Phase III

Once temporary housing for workers at the Hunters Point Naval Shipyard, Hunters View had fallen into severe disrepair by the early 2000s. Today, it has been transformed into a vibrant mixed-income community with new affordable housing, parks, and community spaces for residents to gather, play, and connect. Hunters View Phase III marks the final chapter in this remarkable revitalization story.

Designed through the collaboration of David Baker Architects, Fletcher Studio, SPEC Play, and Berliner, Bayview Park brings new life to the neighborhood as its largest open space. The park features gathering spaces, shaded seating, family picnic areas, and a dynamic rope play experience within the community playground, overlooking the Bay. Built with extensive community input, the project reflects a shared vision for a more connected and vibrant neighborhood.
