WholeTrees Sport

Throughout Esprit Park in San Francisco, five robina timber fitness stations provide opportunities for exercise, movement, and active play. Built from naturally durable robinia wood, each station blends into the surrounding landscape while offering a variety of ways to build strength, coordination, and balance. Visitors can use hanging rings, pull-up bars, balance logs, stepping posts, and an incline bench for bodyweight exercises, stretching, and agility training. Rather than creating a separate fitness zone, the stations are integrated into the park's pathways, encouraging people of all ages to stop, move, and interact with the space as they explore.

WholeTrees structures celebrate the natural beauty of timber by preserving each log's unique shape, grain, and character. Rather than using milled lumber, by incorporating sustainably sourced robinia timber into each structure, the stations create a softer visual presence than traditional steel fitness equipment. The result is a space that is both highly durable and complements the park's planting palette and encouraging an active outdoor experience.

Fitness spaces like these help activate parks beyond traditional playgrounds, providing opportunities for teens, adults, and older visitors to stay active.. By encouraging movement in a shared public setting, the park supports wellness while creating another reason for the community to gather and spend time outdoors.

We would be glad to help you find the WholeTrees fitness structures that would work best for you.
